Extending Christ's Love to the Forgotten
In a time when Nigeria’s economic struggles weigh heavily on even the able-bodied, the plight of persons with disabilities is often overlooked. On the 29th June 2024, the Enugu chapter of WEBS Ministries prayerfully turned its attention to Cheshire’s Home for the Disabled, Uwani, Enugu, choosing to reach out to those who not only struggle to fend for themselves but are frequently excluded from mainstream society.
Understanding their vulnerability and isolation, WEBS Enugu aimed to not only meet physical needs but to extend the love and comfort of Jesus Christ in word and deed.
The outreach program was rich in both spiritual nourishment and fellowship. Led by Sis Mary Ifeoma Ochei (Enugu State Coordinator), and supported by faithful members Sis Ogochukwu Dike, Sis Kemi Nwajei, Sis Chioma Onyeji, Sis Agnes Tanko, and Sis Bridget, the outreach was filled with worship, encouragement, fellowship, and sharing.

Each participant received a share of the generously donated and carefully packaged items, bringing joy and relief to 10 women, 2 men, and 6 staff members (including a matron, cook, and cleaners).
The impact of the outreach was tangible. Beyond the shared items, participants expressed heartfelt gratitude and lifted prayers for WEBS Ministries. The atmosphere was filled with joy, appreciation, and a renewed sense of belonging.
