A Heartfelt Outreach Amidst National Challenges

WEBS Ministries Rivers State chapter successfully carried out its outreach to celebrate the National Day of Breastfeeding Mothers, held annually from August 1st to 7th. In a season marked by uncertainty and unrest, we boldly proclaim: None is missing, none is broken, as we went out on the 6th of August, 2024, to Obio Cottage Hospital, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Representing WEBS Ministries was our dedicated Rivers State Coordinator, Barr. Olawumi Ehoro, accompanied by her two young helpers, Chisonma Nweneka-Ehoro and Chikenum Nweneka-Ehoro. Together, they formed what was fondly dubbed the "One-Man Squad Outreach."

The outreach targeted newborns delivered between August 1st and 6th at Obio Cottage Hospital. A total of 22 babies, including those in the Intensive Care Unit, received thoughtful care packages filled with essential items, including:

  • Diapers

  • Baby Wipes (120-sheet packs)

  • 1-Litre Hypo Bleach

  • Blue Seal Vaseline

  • Detergent

  • Pegs

Each gift was packaged with prayer, love, and purpose to be a tangible expression of Christ’s love. The outreach was more than a distribution event it was a soul-winning encounter. The simple act of giving opened doors for ministry, led to heartfelt prayers for WEBS Ministries, and stirred the hearts of three women who expressed a desire to join the Ministry. Truly, the Scripture was fulfilled in our midst.
