WEBS FCT Hosts Christmas Banquet for Widows in Abuja
In the true spirit of Christmas, WEBS Ministries FCT, in collaboration with the Jesus Image Gospel Centre (JIGC), hosted a heartwarming Widows’ Christmas Banquet in Wuye, Abuja on the 13th of December, 2024.
This special outreach was organized to celebrate and uplift widows in the community during the festive season a time when many feel forgotten or burdened. The atmosphere was one of joy, community, and divine love, as women came together to worship, receive encouragement, and go home with food support and gifts.
The event was graced by passionate and supportive members of WEBS Ministries, including Omatsola Lawanson, Co-Founder, WEBS Ministries, Hajara Ramson, Financial Secretary, Ogechi Okebugwu, FCT Outreach Coordinator, and other WEBS FCT sisters.
The event commenced with prayers led by the ever-spirited Sis. Hajara Ramson, setting the tone for a meaningful gathering.
A moving praise and worship session by Sis. Martha lifted the hearts of many, reminding all in attendance of the joy of the Lord.
Sis. Ogechi shared the vision and mission of WEBS Ministries, highlighting its commitment to supporting vulnerable groups through outreaches, educational support, and ministry programs.The guest minister, Mrs. Martha Osagedie, delivered a powerful message on “The Love of Christ”, touching many hearts and reminding the women of their value in God's eyes.
In the spirit of giving, 30 widows received a Christmas package containing: Rice, Spaghetti, Salt, Tomato purée, Groundnut oil, Spices, Maggi, Milk, Milo, Sugar and A beautiful wrapper
The event left a lasting impression on the women. It was more than just a distribution exercise—it was a time of connection, encouragement, and renewal. Many of the women expressed gratitude for the support and were visibly uplifted by the love and care shown.
Dr. Omatsola Lawanson, co-founder of WEBS, expressed deep gratitude to Jesus Image Gospel Centre for their collaboration and encouraged further partnerships in future programs.
